St. James's Park Landscape and Play Works

Tender description

This scheme focuses on the replacement of existing play facilities in St. James's Park, Shaftesbury, alongside landscape works to ensure that new play features are integrated well within the park landscape. Landscape works will include path works (including the construction of a new pathway), turfing and installation of seats and benches. The contractor will need to install new play equipment and site furniture. This will be sourced by the Town Council. The start date is marked as 10th October, however this is negotiable and dependent on the delivery of the play equipment/site furniture. Site Visits: We request that all those tendering visit the site prior to submitting a tender so as to fully understand the scope of work and any relevant constraints. An accompanied visit can be arranged by contacting either the Town Clerk or Assistant Town Clerk. For unaccompanied park visits, the site is open, round the clock. Tender Return: The following documents should be returned to stcconfidentialtenders@shaftesbury-tc.gov.uk by noon on the 16th September 2022. 1. Completed Form of Tender 2. Priced Bills of Quantities 3. Draft programme for the work 4. Supporting information on 3 relevant schemes carried out over the last 5 years including client, contract value and referee details. References may be taken up. Tenders will be assessed on the basis of quality as well as cost and the Town Council is not obliged to select the lowest tender. All tender queries will be addressed promptly and responses circulated via Contract Finder to all those tendering.
