The project involves Emergency Works Schemes involving alterations to existing National School including all associated works at Scoil Ailbhe National School, Parnell Street, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, E41 XY10 as per Pricing Schedule of Works below but not limited to … 1. EWS 1 – Cat 7 Window Replacement Project a. All External Windows and Selected External Doors 2. EWS 2 - Toilet Blocks Upgrade a. Ground Floor Toilet Block total refurbishment b. First Floor Toilet Block total refurbishment c. Classrooms Upgrades i. Conversion of existing Lunchroom and P.E. Stores into Infant Classroom with ensuites ii. Conversion of Staff Room into Pre-School Classroom iii. Retro fitting new fitted sink unit in Classroom 4 on ground floor with relocated cooker and new extractor 3. EWS 3 - Fire Safety Upgrades a. Fire Safety Building Upgrade works including fire door sets, partitions, AOVs, etc. b. New Life Saving systems including decommissioning of existing i. Fire Detection and Alarm system ii. Emergency Lighting system iii. Intruder Alarm and CCTV systems c. New external fire hydrant and car park upgrades 4. EWS 4 - Universal Access Upgrades a. New external ramps and railings 5. EWS 5 - Safe Access a. Design and installation of Safe Access to roof and between roofs b. Design and installation of Fall Arrest System (guardrails) The works will be divided into two contracts PW-CF6 due to individual project elements durations and relevant defects liability dates for each contract. The contracts will run concurrently due to the scope and nature of the project(s) in phases in building blocks from east to west in the building so one main contractor will be appointed for both contracts.
