CWF Lot 2A - Dallam Tower

Tender description

The bridge known as "Dallam Tower or Milnthorpe" has, following a recent load assessment, been identified to be in need of masonry repairs. The bridge is located in Milnthorpe, in the south of Cumbria. The repairs principally comprise the repointing/grouting of the arch barrel, with other more minor masonry works to the remaining structure.\r The project is for undertaking the repairs including the obtaining of all Environment Agency and Listed Building Consents and obtaining any necessary Temporary Traffic Regulations Orders and Streetworks Permits. Works are to be undertaken in the 2022 in-river working window of 16th June to 30th September. The Contractor will be responsible for the design and specification of the heritage lime mortar required, plus all temporary works (e.g. scaffolding) and traffic management.
