Supply and installation of a Recycled Plastic Boardwalk along the South Beach, Greystones, Co.Wicklow.

Tender description

The boardwalk is to be approximately 150m long and circa 3m wide. The width of the boardwalk can be adjusted up or down to suit prefabricated board lengths so as to negate the need for cutting of the boards and thereby creating waste. The boardwalk is to be secured to the beach and supported by recycled plastic posts. The posts are to be a minimum of 100mmx100mm in section and should be driven circa 1200mm into the sand. The boardwalk should have a load bearing capacity of 5kn/m2. The boardwalk shall have a 150mm upstand along the edges. Boards shall be placed with 10mm gaps between boards and no more than 12mm. All fixings should be of stainless steel. The recycled plastic should be:  Maintenance Free  Vandal Resistant  Climate Resistant – UV Stable, resistant in Marine environments  Inert in Water  Flame Resistant – Flamability Rating B2  Slip Resistant – PTV of 36 or above to BS7976-2:2002  Rot proof  Splinter free  Solvent resistant Lot 245432: Supply and installation of a Recycled Plastic Boardwalk along the South Beach, Greystones, Co.Wicklow.
