Prior Information Notice and Supplier Request for Information Storage Heater, PV and Battery Project

Tender description

Southside Housing Association is planning procurement to support a Storage Heater, PV and Battery Project to serve up to 420 homes mostly owned by Southside Housing Association in blocks of flats at a number of sites in Glasgow. The package is planned to include replacement of old electric storage heaters with modern electric storage heaters plus battery storage in individual flats, together with centralised solar PV (on some roofs and over some car parking areas) plus centralised battery storage to help meet landlord’s electricity supply requirements. Complementing this, Southside Housing Association propose to enter into a commercial agreement with a grid services aggregator which will provide smart energy management to optimise tenant benefits plus agreed grid services utilising project assets to generate revenue to Southside Housing Association. By issuing this Request for Information (RFI), Southside Housing Association does not make any commitment to procure any of the stated services. If the project proceeds it may not proceed with all of the above components. All information provided as part of this RFI will be used for analysis and research purposes only. Some of the flats concerned are privately owned. Inclusion of such flats is subject to consent of the flat owner.
