Asbestos Encapsulation Works

Tender description

The encapsulation works are to take place at the Goldfish Bowl Fine Art Studio at the Falmouth Campus, Woodlane, Falmouth. Involves works to the currently asbestos clad columns and beams and the making safe of all loose areas of asbestos. This is to be followed by the encapsulation of the existing asbestos fire protection to the columns and beams in the Studio. The works include the removal and subsequent refixing of all attached services and the decoration of Ceilings, Walls and wood and metalwork to the interior of the Art Studio. All works are internal. Vacation of the interior of the premises will be arranged and internal access to the individual rooms will be available. Care should be taken in executing the works in that the driveway outside provides an access for students and other pedestrians not associated with the University. Materials must not be stored externally which might hinder safe access up the driveway. Any scaffolding is to be suitably labelled and protected. The works need to be carried out during the summer recess and must be completed by the start of termon 10 September 2022.
