This tender is part of the Heritage Regeneration Building project in Tredegar town centre.The tender involves refurbishment works at the former Town Hall located in The circle, Tredegar.The building is primarily a two storey structure with cellar beneath, and comprises two bars on the ground floorwith a large function room at first floor level.General refurbishment to the exterior of building is required to restore important historical features as well as newinterior refurbishment to restore the building as a socialising venue.The former Town Hall is a Grade II Listed Building and has received planning & Listed Building Consent for:•Demolition and replacement of new single storey boiler room to the south elevation;•Internal alterations to create caretaker’s flat;•Reposition of the toilet facilities;•Replacement of upvc windows with new single glazed timber framed windows with secondary glazing;•Replacement of artificial slate roof with a new Welsh slate roof;•Reinstatement of 2No. brick and stone chimneys;•Reintroduction of metal conical vent at roof level;•Replacement of upvc rainwater goods with cast iron fittings;•Hacking off existing render and replacement with lime-washed render;•Clean and repair pennant stone with Forest of Dean ashlar detail.The full details are available in the tender documentation.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
