POW-ITT-48990 - Welshpool and Knighton Fire Remedial Works

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust and on behalf of Powys teaching Health Board (PTHB) have undertaken surveys of their properties at Welshpool and Knighton Hospitals which have highlighted a number of defects in respect of fire protections works. PTHB are therefore seeking to undertake remedial works to address the items identified.The Remedial works include repair and replacement fire doors, upgrade fire compartmentation, fire alarm installations, firestopping, emergency lighting and associated works.Description of WorksThe works will consist of the following:• Replacement or repair of fire doors• Upgrade fire compartmentation• Fire alarm installations• Firestopping• Emergency lighting• Associated builders works and making goodThe above specific description of the works is not exhaustive and some areas may require work which is not listed.Powys Teaching Health Board recognises the importance of the Welsh language to the communities it serves. Consequently, responses to an invitation to quote or tender will be accepted in Welsh as well as English. However, please note that tender responses submitted only in Welsh will be translated by the Trust into English before consideration. Those involved in translating the document will be barred from taking decisions on awarding tenders.The tender will be awarded to the most economically advantageous tender based on 40% quality and 60% cost as detailed in the ITT document.
