Tender description
Construction of a new pedestrian and cycle bridge 24m downstream of the existing Salmon Weir Bridge in Galway City Lot 1: GCC are constructing a new pedestrian and cycle bridge over the Lower River Corrib circa 25m downstream of the existing Salmon Weir Bridge. The bridge will link Gaol Road (west) to Newtownsmith (east) in Galway City. The scheme is a 3no. span bridge constructed over the Lower River Corrib, Mill Race and Waterside Canal. The new bridge structure will tie into the existing footpaths on Gaol Road and Newtownsmith Road. The main span is circa 50m, with approaches 13.5 & 18.5m. Attached as document
