Coll Ferry Terminal Fender Repair Works

Tender description

The fendering to the ferry berth at Coll comprises 31 fender piles spaced at approximately 2.5m centres along the berth with a further 4 fenders adjacent to ladder positions. The fenders were installed in 1991 when the berth was converted to a Ro-Ro facility with the construction of the linkspan. During a recent inspection, a number of defects were observed to the timber fender piles and waling beams, their fixings and protective rubbing strips.
