"C" Corridor Laboratories Refurbishment

The works contract will comprise alterations and refurbishments to the following rooms in the main campus at Wrexham Glyndwr University;C12 Laboratory into a “wet chemical” modern laboratory including demolitons and alterations, new fit out including floors, ceilings, walls, lab furniture, fume extract, ventilation and lighting and small powerC12a demolitions and alterations and fit out to form a new laboratory preparation areaC14 laboratory into a “forensic science laboratory” new fit out including floors, ceilings, walls, lab furniture, ventilation and lighting and small powerThe works include the following activities;1. Removal of some asbestos to ceiling in lab preparation space, display cabinets in corridor and elsewhere as detailed in the asbestos survey2. Demolition & reconfiguration of internal dividing walls to create window openings to the corridors, create drench shower areas, and enlarge the lab preparation space.3. A mechanical upgrade to improve air management & quality as per detailed specification4. Full electrical installation to the refurbished areas as per detailed specification5.
