Knutton Lane Parapet Walls Rebuild

Tender description

The parapet walls on both sides of the Bridge were rebuilt in March 2020 but would have to be rebuilt again as the mortar has failed in the walls. The works would require taking down the existing walls to the deck of the bridge and rebuild to existing height. You are required to attend site and take the measurements of the walls and to satisfy yourself of the requirement for providing your price proposal. The specification is Blue Engineering Class B bricks with Natural Hydraulic Lime Mortar. Your proposal should also demonstrate salvaging existing bricks for reuse where possible or reflect gains of selling bricks to salvage yard. The works would require the following: 1. Road closure (Road closure application and management arranged by the Council) 2. Scaffolding, and crash decking to keep cycle route underneath the bridge open 3. Notification of works to be served on residents living within 100 meters radius of the bridge. 4. Provision of site compound and welfare. (Nearest Council welfare facility is Knutton Lane Depot, about 200m from the Bridge)
