(NU/1697) Main Contractor for Great North House Refurbishment

Tender description

The appointed contractor will be responsible for undertaking a full refurbishment of the Great North House building with a specific focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. Summary of works:- • Strip all suspended ceilings • M&E upgrades (Design) • Windows and Doors (Design) • LED lighting • Heating and cooling systems (Design) • PV Solar Panels and structural work to roof (Design) • Making good decor • Other builders work associated with LT fit out • New roof membrane and insulation The project is being carried out within an occupied building and will be phased to carry out the works on a floor by basis. The existing services to the occupied areas will need to be maintained to ensure the building can remain in use. The University intend to adopt a soft landings process and intends to engage the Estates and Facilities team with design, review and commissioning process.
