Tender description

The residential development at Gressel Lane is an exciting opportunity to work with BMHT as part of the Council’s Route to Zero Strategy by 2030 to reduce carbon emissions. The programme will provide new affordable housing for tenants. This development delivers 36 homes for rent that reflect the Strategic Housing Market Assessment for Birmingham with an emphasis on 2, 3, 4 and 5, 6 bedroom houses. All 36 homes will be required to include the following technologies: • Heat Pumps (either Ground Source or Air Source) • Heat batteries - using Phase Change Material (PCM) • Roof mounted inset Photovoltaic (PV) Panels • PV/electricity storage batteries • Vehicle charging points • Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery • Waste Water Heat Recovery (for specific properties only) • Under floor heating (ground floor and first floor) The Scheme includes funding from the European Regional Development Fund.
