Tender description

The Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital (RVEEH) was established in 1897, by the ‘Dublin Eye and Ear Hospital Act’ in 1897. The site on Adelaide Road was purchased, and building commenced in 1904. The Hospital is governed by the President and the Council, and managed by the Hospital Management Group which consists of: - Chief Executive, Director of Strategy and Corporate Affairs, Director of Finance and Organisation Services, Director of Nursing, Director of Operations and Human Resources, Medical Director and Director of Education and Research. The Hospital’s annual activity is about 7,000 in-patients, 40,000 OPD (Out-Patients Department) attendees, and 40,000 Accident and Emergency attendees. The RVEEH now propose to refurbish and reconfigure the existing central decontamination unit, located at the first floor within the hospital. The area for the works is in close proximity to theatre and ward areas and high level of management, dust protection, vibration management and noise control will be required to ensure the continued operation of hospital services. It is anticipated that the construction works will take approximately 10 weeks on site, commencing in Q1,2022.
