Tender description
The Carmel Fallon Centre is a 2-storey building, located on the Irish Wheelchair Association’s campus at Clontarf. The ground floor is a 6-bedroom Respite Centre, and the 1st floor contains 6 independent living units, 4 of which are currently occupied. A fire regularisation certificate is required for the building. A survey of the building has identified defective items, and these need to be rectified, prior to applying for this certificate. The main defect identified was that the 1st floor apartment and stairwell compartment walls stopped at ceiling level and didn’t continue up into the attic space. This tender request calls for Specialist Contractors to quote for the construction and certification of a suitable 60-minute fire barrier system in the attic space to complete this compartmentation.
