Tender description

Meath County Council intends to appoint a suitabily qualified building contractor to carry out the construction works of10. No. Residential Development, St. Francis Park, Windtown, Navan, Co. Meath The project comprises the following : (a) Demolition of 14 no. existing bay units (b) Construction of 10 no. dwellings with permanent caravan parking bays (c) Closure of the existing St. Francis Park entrance and access road on Ratholdren Road and provision of a new entrance and access road from Tailteann Drive (d) Landscaping within the site boundary (e) All associated site development and associated ancillary works. The proposed housing units will comprise of 1 no. 2 bed single storey dwelling, 1 no. 3 bed single storey dwelling, 2 no. 4 bed single storey dwellings and 6 no. 4 bed two storey dormer dwellings. The project contract shall be procured using a two-stage tender process, where Stage 1 being the pre-qualification process based on quality and relevant experience and Stage 2 is submission of tender price by contractors who pre-qualify at Stage 1. The contractor will be required to manage and deliver the construction, carry out the role of PSCS, required under the Construction Regulations 2013, and assist and provide final certification under the Building Control Amendment Regulations (BcAR) to the Design Team. The contractor will have to possess and be able to demonstrate relevant competency, training and experience in conservation projects of similar scale and complexity.
