Construction of the "Culvert Improvement Upgrade Works – Screen Upgrade Works"

Tender description

The scope of works relates to seventeen culvert locations across Dublin city (see below map), eleven of which are on the northside and six of which are on the southside. The majority of these culvert locations have some form of existing trash or security screen attached to the culvert opening or at an upstream location. The primary function of a screen may be to prevent blockage at the entry to a culvert or to prevent unauthorized entry to a culvert or a combination of both of these functions. A detailed assessment has been carried out on each location to establish whether the existing structure conforms to modern guidelines and if not, detailed designs have been produced to upgrade or replace the existing structures or introduce a new structure where none previously existed.
