Tender description
Dublin City Council gives notice to invoke Article 32 (c) for a derogation from tendering for the provision of emergency & immediate fire remedial works to a Council owned property (a Protected Structure) to address identified serious fire safety risks to the property, the adjoining properties & their occupants. All works pertaining to rectification of these issues, including opening up, removal of defective elements, & reinstatement of all elements pertaining to required fire compartmentation to an accredited design specification, & oversight of the complete works are to remain under the control & responsibility of a single contractor, FlameStop Ltd, who is to: Project Manage & oversee the entire project as the sole appointed Principle Contractor; Fulfil the role of PSCS; Provide FIRAS 3rd party Accredited Certification. Scope of works to include: installation of new fire doors & 1 number AOV vent, upgrading of emergency lighting & escape route signage, fire stopping, upgrade of fire compartments including fire upgrade of floors. Contract value: €150,000.00 excl. VAT. Contract duration: approx. 4 months. FlameStop Ltd have shown that they have a proven record in the delivery of similar projects, scale and complexity, and meet with the minimum acceptable prerequisites to satisfy the Contracting Authority. Currently, there is no appropriate framework agreement or panel in place which satisfactorily addresses the identified serious fire safety risks in a timely and appropriate manner. A decision has therefore been made to confine at this time this award only for these essential emergency works, to a specific Council owned building (Protected Structure) for Dublin City Council. The objective of this voluntary ex ante transparency notice is to inform the market of the intention to enter into a contract with FlameStop Ltd. in accordance with Article 32 (c).
