Design and Delivery of a Place Based Leadership Development Programme

Tender description

Northside Partnership and Louth Leader Partnership are seeking submissions, from suitably experienced and qualified tenderers to design and deliver a Place Based Leadership Development programme (P-BLD) for the Darndale/Coolock (Dublin) and Drogheda (Louth) areas. The Darndale/Coolock and Drogheda areas have many common attributes in terms of the key social and economic challenges that impact upon their neighbourhoods and communities. These include high levels of local authority housing, long term unemployment, youth unemployment and low levels of educational attainment. In addressing these challenges both areas have seen ongoing investment in terms of service provision from both Community, voluntary and statutory Service providers. Yet many of the identified challenges persist and continue to impact upon the individuals and families that live within the areas. The P-BLD programme aims to build capacity across key stakeholders in the Darndale and Drogheda areas to collectively address societal issues and concerns. In promoting participation from residents, community, voluntary and statutory organisations the programme aims to building future leaders that will go on to influence the culture of the organisations and sectors in which they work. It will use evidence and strengths-based approaches which start from the premise that the people facing the issues are the ones best equipped to understand and deal with them.
