The Provision of Removal and Associated Services The Council has a regular requirement for residential moves and office relocations within the Borough of Sandwell that also includes a packing and unpacking service and the requirement for furniture and belongings to be taken into storage as and when required. Residential Removals are categorised into the following types: Tenant Incentive Scheme (TIS) Deaths involving the Treasury Evictions or abandoned properties Decants Emergency Moves Term of Contract The Contract duration is for three (3) years, commencing 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2024. Value of Contract Based on previous data, the estimated annual cost is to be in the region of £60,000. This value is based on historical spend data and is intended to be used as a guide only and is not a guarantee of the level of business that will be generated from the contract. Expenditure over the last 12-month period is broken down as follows: Residential Moves 46% Office Relocations 14% Crate Hire 12% Storage 25% Porter Service 3% This breakdown is based on the last 12-month period and is to be used as a guide only and is not a guarantee that future service requirements will be the same. Appointment of Service Provider To appoint a single provider for the provision of Removal Services. Accreditation Tenderers must be a Member of the British Association of Removers or Equivalent European Standard. A copy of your certification will need to be submitted with your Tender.
