Re-Tender of Drumgray Avenue New Build Housing, Uddingston

Tender description

South Lanarkshire Council has a requirement to appoint a suitable contractor for the construction of 20 new build social housing flats at Drumgray Avenue, Uddingston. This is part of the Council plan to create one thousand new affordable rental homes. The house types and numbers at Drumgray Avenue are as follows:- House Type F 2-bedroom cottage flats (4 in a block) - 4nr House Type G 1-bedroom cottage flats (4 in a block) - 16nr This project was a issued via PCS-Tender as a mini competition under Lot 3 of the Scotland Excel New Build Residential Constructions Framework (Ref 1518). Tenders were invited on a Price/Quality basis. The following weightings were used to determine the most economically advantageous tender: Quality (Technical): 30% Price (Commercial): 70% In evaluating the Technical element, the Council set out 5 questions relating to the following- 1.3.4. Programme & Delivery 1.3.5. Planning Conditions 1.3.6. Access & Traffic Management 1.4.1. Management and Supervisory Team 1.5.2. – 1.5.4. Community Benefits A minimum total of 140 Community Benefits points required to be delivered as part of this contract.
