<p>Islington Council is working in collaboration with partner organisations to develop a pioneering energy system that will combine low/zero carbon heat, cooling, power and mobility and is expected to eventually serve more than 3,000 residents and 6 very large non-domestic buildings in the Borough. GreenSCIES is a smart energy system that integrates new low carbon energy technologies across heat, cooling and mobility and has a clear pathway for replication across the UK.</p> <p>To support its development of the procurement strategy for GreenSCIES at this early stage, the council is carrying out a market engagement test to better understand the interest across the market. This will help us to match the technical and commercial requirements of the system to the interests of potential partners who wish to become involved in future. The council invites feedback from a wide range of providers, potential investors and stakeholders across key areas, including responses to the questionnaire, and any additional comments that you may have, by midday on Friday 12 February 2021.</p> <p>Shortly after you have expressed interest, you will receive an email containing a link to access the questionnaire.</p> <p>Completed questionnaires should be emailed to Rodrigo.Matabuena@islington.gov.uk</p> <p>This is not an invitation to tender, nor does it preclude or favour eligibility to participate in any formal procurement once it starts; it is a process solely to test the current market capacity, to scope the services, engage with a wide range of stakeholders and to inform the procurement process route.</p> Keywords: green energy, heat network, low carbon
