Tender description

The canals lock gates are critical items for maintaining navigation of the canals and any failure during operation could lead to a serious health and safety incident. In Scotland there is a variety of steel construction and timber construction gates – many of which are now past their design life. SC have a prioritised asset management programme for the replacement of all lock gates in Scotland based on condition and risk and are now beginning a programme for the replacement of the priority gates.
