NCC645 Cowley Road Depot Electrical Upgrade

Tender description

This tender is for the replacement of the Main Switchgear and Associated Works at the Cowley Road Depot. The depot is operated by Northumberland County Council to provide maintenance, servicing, statutory inspection and administration of their commercial vehicle fleet. This project concerns the replacement of the depot's main switch board, section board and several distribution boards within the main switch room and garage area. Several of the existing DBs to be replaced are known to contain asbestos flash guards and have not been inspected and tested during the last two EICRs. Therefore, an element of initial identification, verification, inspection and testing is required prior to the relocation of circuits into the new DBs. Additionally, there are remedial works to be carried out around the site related to code 2 and 3 defects identified by the latest EICR. The defects and remedial works have been collated into a schedule which is included within NCC's Invitation to Tender (ITT) documentation.
