Moredon Sports Hub - New Pavilion

Tender description

Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of a new pavilion. This project is for the construction of a contemporary Pavilion, at Moredon Multi Sports Hub, Swindon. The Moredon Multi Sports Hub is situated close to Swindon Town Centre, and is a busy site with many existing users. The pavilion is intended to form part of a wider scheme of improvements in the immediate vicinity, including a cycling closed road circuit, learn to ride area, BMX track and a full size 3G AGP which are being procured separately. The pavilion is to be located immediately adjacent to the sites car park with direct access to the main sports facilities. The pavilion is to be single story and circa 780m2 GIA. The pavilion is to contain: • 4 team changing rooms plus officials change • Club room with small kitchen • Multi use/ youth room with integral storage • Leisure suite • Café and kitchen with servery • Office/reception • First aid/consulting room • Accessible change • Toilets and plant The Moredon Multi Sports Hub project is enabled by funding from Sport England/British Cycling's 'Places to Ride Programme' and the Football Foundation. All proposed schemes are to ensure that the facility proposed is well designed and limits the opportunity for vandalism or antisocial behaviour. The designs should demonstrate ease of maintenance, with easy access to serviceable parts. Full details relating to the Works are provided in the tender documents.
