Alex Parklet Project

Tender description

The University wishes to appoint a Contractor to design and create a new parklet space to the Alex building Alexander Road, Swansea, SA15DX to include outdoor seating and other visual interests in order to create a multi-purpose breakout area within the building grounds. Proposed Scope of Works (including identification of elements requiring Contractor design) to include: • The installation of tables and benches constructed from reclaimed timber upon the existing concrete pavior finish. • Install planters in varying sizes housing a mixture of trees and plants to soften the landscape. The Contractor is responsible for ensuring that the materials and workmanship in the contract meet the required standards; the Final Certificate or any certificate issued by the Contract Administrator is not intended to and shall not operate as conclusive evidence that any of the work or materials or goods or workmanship conforms to description or is in accordance with the Contract.
