Tender description

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council invite tender applications from Experienced and Qualified Contractors for the provision of Works to Stabilise and repair the walls in Necarne Castle, Irvinestown. Fermanagh and Omagh District Council wish to procure a Main Contractor to Stabilise and repair the walls in Necarne Castle, Irvinestown the works will involve, (but not limited to) the following: • Masonry stabilisation to unstable walls. Formulation of method statements as how to safely repair stonework in areas that could potentially collapse for review by Structural Engineer, • Detailed propping solutions to enable insertion of new heads to windows and door openings, • Lime pointing to area of severe mortar lost to ensure structural integrity and prevent future collapse, • Removal corroding steel that causing distortion and cracking to masonry walls. • Building up of previous timber joist wall plates that have eroded and causing instability to walls with brick and lime mortar.
