Proposed Refurbishment Project at Coláiste Muire Máthair, St Marys Rd, Galway – Phase 1

Tender description

The proposed project will consist of renovation of existing classrooms into a new technology room, arts & crafts room, music room. It will also consist of the extensive refurbishment of a toilet block/ changing area and Fire Upgrade Works at Coláiste Muire Máthair, Galway. The works (as shown on the drawings), including all associated preparatory, enabling and making good works which will include but not limited to: • Demolition of existing internal walls and the removal of all debris • Construction of new external access doorways and associated ramp/steps • Construction of new internal partition walls • Construction of new waste water drainage pipe runs • Refurbishment of existing toilets and the installation of new sanitary facilities • Blocking up and making good of existing doorways • All necessary making good works between new and adjacent surfaces • All fire rated construction requirements • Defined fixed furniture and equipping • Selected universal access, and fire safety upgrade works The works will be carried out within the Existing Building and may involve working out of hours to complete the project within the proposed project completion deadline. Please refer to the proposed Phasing arrangements set out in the Tender Documents. The minimum standards for participation in this competition (Suitability Assessment Criteria) are set out. Tenderers must meet the relevant minimum standards in all respects. Prior to preparing and submitting a tender, potential tenderers should first check the criteria and minimum standards set out in the Suitability Assessment Declaration and satisfy themselves that their firms meet those standards. No liability will be accepted by the Contracting Authority for the cost of tendering.
