Tender description

Norfolk County Council requires the full design and build of a car parking decking system to create c. 120 additional spaces above an existing tarmacadam car park. Norfolk County Council requires the full design and build of a car parking decking system to create 84 net spaces comprising c. 120 additional first level spaces above an existing tarmacadam car park that shall require a revised layout including space losses to accommodate the new decking system. The full design and construction will include, although not be limited, to: — site investigation to support the contractor’s designs, — foundations to withstand structure including making good existing carpark surfacing, — decking system structure, running surface, edge protection and cladding, — access and egress vehicular ramp and pedestrian stair cases, — above and below deck level lighting, — drainage systems including connections into existing systems, — line marking of new deck system and removal and reline existing ground level to suit new layout, — building control submission and approval, — permanent signage, — provision of information to aid discharge of any planning conditions by the employer and production of drawings and information to support any subsequent retrospective planning submission documents due to a change in layout proposed by the contractor, — the anticipated programme is to be completed by the end of July 2020.
