Tender description
This scheme is part of the European Regional Development Funding (ERDF) which is a fund used to provide money for specific projects to support economic development in countries and regions across Europe. The objective of this requirements is to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced economic operator, or economic operators, to carry out thermal improvement works to existing aluminium bungalow stock within the contracting authority's south region. The form of contract is expected to be NEC3 - Engineering Construction Short Contract (ECSC). The Open Procedure is expected to be used with an award criteria based on 100 % price. Economic operators will need to provide details of two example contracts demonstrating experience off undertaking works similar in nature to those specified within the tender documents in the 7 years before the tender submission deadline. The initial contract period is anticipated to be for 4 months. Economic Operators are responsible for ensuring their constructionline account is up to date. The scope of the requirement is subject to change and full details of the requirement will be set out in the tender documents. The proposed works may include, but not be limited to removal and replacement of roof coverings, removal of redundant chimneys, removal of existing cladding and replacement with external wall insulation, door window replacement, extension of guttering and overflow pipes. Post Works Energy Performance Certificates shall be produced by a suitably qualified domestic energy assessor, certified and registered by a UKAS-accredited assessor body, within the successful economic operator's team. The scheme must achieve a target of SAP ‘C’ and EPC’s should be completed for 10 % of each house type. The successful economic operator shall be required to undertake air tightness tests on 10 % of each house type. Installer may be required to have PAS 2030. The scope of the requirement is subject to change and full details of the requirement will be set out in the tender documents.
