Bruton, Station Road car park improvements

Tender description

Bruton Town Council intends to procure a contract for the design and build phases of improvements to the lower car park at Station Road, Bruton, Somerset. The Employer Requirements are (below) and the Council now invites sealed tenders from contractors for the following JCT Design and Build 2016 contract. • To design and construct improvement works to the car park including surfacing of the access driveway from the car park entrance through the site (assumed concrete); building parking spaces off the access driveway (assumed in loose stone or other porous material); surface water drainage and disposal of surface water (with safeguards for potential contamination) not to drain directly into the adjacent River Brue; power supply; lighting; provision of 2no. charging points (including the power supply and charging equipment) for 4no. electric vehicles; bay designation; and pedestrian access demarcation lining; in an estimated period of 8 weeks during which the car park will be closed to the public and under the control of the contractor.
