Tender description

Undertaking of urgent groundworks, site remedial works, and completion of the development at Halton Court, Runcorn, consisting of a total of 48 homes for Onward Homes, through a mix of 2, 3, and 4 bedroom homes for shared ownership and affordable rent. Onward Homes Ltd will enter into a contract with Anwyl Construction Company Ltd for a period of 98 weeks to undertake urgent groundworks, site remedial works, and completion of the development at Halton Court, Runcorn, consisting of 48 homes with effect from 23 November 2020. Upon receipt of professional advice from structural engineering consultants appointed by Onward Homes Ltd, the site requires the work undertaken urgently following the unforeseen events of the incumbent Cruden Construction entering into administration, leaving an outstanding programme of works and a major health and safety risk due to existing walls deteriorating and at risk of collapse, along with spoil mounds on-site which require removal/spreading to prevent immediate risk of landslide. The award of contract follows a previous VEAT Notice dispatched to OJEU on 2 October 2020.
