Repair and maintenance services of building installations

Tender description

This is a Prior Information Notice to inform bidders that ProcurePublic Ltd, who acts on behalf of CCHT, intends to release a framework tender in January 2021 for Buildings Maintenance (Planned and Reactive). The workstreams will include: 1) Combined Repair and Maintenance Services (Inc Major refurbishments); 2) Cyclical Decorations and Repairs (Internal and External); 3) Roofing. (Pitched and Flat); 4) Kitchen and bathrooms; 5) Doors and windows. The framework will be available nationally, for use by the following UK public sector bodies (and any future successors to these organisations): https://www.ons.gov.uk/economy/nationalaccounts/uksectoraccounts/datasets/publicsectorclassificationguide The following category specialisms shall be within the scope of the requirement: — the repair of various elements to internal areas and external envelope of a building including brickwork, rendering, re-pointing, damp proof courses, coping stones, concrete surfaces, balustrading, timbers, guttering/rainwater pipes, cladding, small roofing repairs, — the cyclical decoration or restoration of previously painted areas (including anti-graffiti paint, fire precaution works, etc.). The following category specialisms shall be within the scope of the requirement: — major refurbishments, — kitchen and bathroom refurbishment works, — new windows, doors, fascias/soffits, porches, external cladding, guttering and rainwater pipes, — roofing repairs/replacement, — electrical upgrade/re-wire works, — external repairs and cyclical redecorations, — void property services. The following category specialisms shall be within the scope of the requirement: — the supply and installation of new roof coverings (covering type as per the client’s requirements and specification), roof structures, timbers (structural and non-structural), roof insulation, gutters/rainwater pipes, fascias/soffits, dormer windows and like (including all tiles/slates, flashings, valleys, repairs to existing timbers, brickwork repairs, chimney repairs, copping repairs/replacements, fire break barriers/walls, works to lightning protection systems, fixtures and fittings, making good of decoration, — provide guarantees and any other certification required on completion of the works. The following category specialisms shall be within the scope of the requirement: — the stripping out of the existing kitchen/bathroom/wetroom/W.C. (including all existing fixtures, fittings, tiles, floor coverings and the like), — the removal of any materials of asbestos content under controlled conditions and in accordance with all current legislation, — carrying out any structural alterations to allow for the installation of the new kitchen or bathroom to occur, — the removal from site of all debris and the disposal of in the correct manner, — the supply and installation of new kitchens/bathrooms/wetrooms/wc’s. Including all new units, sanitary ware, tiling, floor coverings, pipework amendments, electrical alterations, ventilation works, fixtures and fittings, decoration works. The following category specialisms shall be within the scope of the requirement: — the removal of the existing windows, doors, fascia’s/soffits, porches and cladding (including all frames, secondary glazing, fixtures/fittings), — the removal of any materials of asbestos content under controlled conditions and in accordance with all current legislation, — carrying out any structural alterations to allow for the installation of the new units, — the removal from site of all debris and the disposal of in the correct manner, — the supply and installation of new uPVC, wooden or aluminium windows (casements, sashes, etc.), doors, fascia’s/soffits, porches and external cladding (including all new units, repairs to window/door surrounds, covering trims, spyholes, door chains, window/door locks, fixtures and fittings, making good of decorations), — provide FENSA or related certification and guarantees required on completion of the works.
