Operation of a refuse site

Tender description

The fundamental objective of the contract is to provide efficient household waste recycling centres capable of receiving, segregating, re-using, recycling, composting, recovering and transporting to dispose contract waste arising at sites, and to run and manage a waste transfer station joined to one of those sites, in an environmentally and economically sustainable manner, including the maintenance and upkeep of infrastructure and assets at the site required to deliver this service. Award of an interim contract without prior publication of a call for competition in the Official Journal of the European Union. Extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable for the contracting authority and in accordance with the strict conditions stated in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.. The contract award will be for the minimum period reasonably necessary to allow the county council to consider all of the procurement options.
