North Ayrshire Council are looking to notify the market of this future contract opportunity. It is anticipated that this will be advertised early March 2020 as an open tender on the Public Contracts Scotland National Advertising Portal and all appropriate compliant channels. The procurement exercise will be carried out via the PCS-Tender E-tendering system. North Ayrshire Council would welcome notes of interest at this stage. Please note, you will still be able to submit a tender for this procurement exercise without having to note your interest at this stage. We would request that only parties genuinely interested in pricing these works express an interest. Background North Ayrshire Council requires a new build Primary School including a Nursery which will be built on the site of the old Glengarnock Academy in Kilbirnie. This will be a replacement for the current Moorpark Primary School. The contract duration will be 65 weeks construction period and expected contract start date is August 2020. Description of requirement The construction of a predominately single storey new build primary school and nursery (approx. total area 3 000 m2), together with extensive external works. The works include groundworks, glulam timber frame, cross laminated timber structure, structural timber walls, brickwork, roof and wall cladding, joiner work, wall finishes, floor finishes, suspended ceilings, fixed furniture, decoration, siphonic roof drainage, plumbing, mechanical and electrical installations together with associated site works, underground drainage and external services.
