Tender description

The State Hospital is an NHS hospital providing care and treatment for mentally disordered offenders in conditions of high security. The hospital operates a complex and integrated suite of security systems that provide detection, alarm and observations in order to support this care and treatment. Several of these security measures are to be renewed, refreshed and enhanced via a supply and installation contract. The project is estimated to take 24 months. These security measures will include the following systems and equipment: — perimeter intruder detection systems, — video surveillance systems (CCTV), — IP Fibre Network, — security control room, — Tubestiles, — integration with SMS (Cortech Datalog 5), — staff personal attack alarm system, — automatic number plate recognition, — gates and vehicle mitigation, — access control systems, — digital radios. Please see description in Section II.1.4) This project has been unsuccessfully advertised previously. This contract notice is an edited version of that published on 22nd October 2018. The significant change is that it is now advertised as following a ‘Restricted procedure: accelerated procedure’. Other changes are primarily restricted to layout, grammar and minor wording changes in this contract notice, the contract notice accompanying document (available in the ‘visible to suppliers’ part of PCS-t) and the ESPD. The requirement remains substantially the same.
