Redevelopment of Avalon House, 57-63 Scrutton Street, London - Refurbishment Works

Portsmouth City Council (the Council) is inviting expressions of interest for delivery of major refurbishment works to The Avalon - an office building located at 57-63 Scrutton Street, South Shoreditch, London. Application is via completion of a project specific Supplier Status Questionnaire (SSQ) and following their assessment the top 4 ranked contractors will be invited to tender for the following work o Complete refurbishment of the building to provide a progressive workplace. Removing the existing roof and extending the structure to form a new 4th floor. o New central plant and on-floor services. o Significant amenity provisions located in the basement including 53 indoor cycle spaces, repair area and lockers. Shower facilities are also provided within the basement. o BREEAM Very Good targeted rating with certain aspects of BREEAM to be fulfilled by the contractor. The Council anticipates the refurbishment works may cost in the region of ?5M - ?6M and will be procured on the basis of a traditional single stage competitive tender route (with a client appointed consult design team). The Council is targeting to have awarded the contract by 6th April 2021 contractor with works commencement on 19th April 2021 and completion by 7th March 2022. The Council is aiming to issue the tender documents on Monday 18th January 2021. Prior to issue consultation with the shortlisted contractors will be undertaken between 24th August 2020 and 11th September 2020.
