Tender description

The scope of this tender is to administer and deliver training in the ‘Responsible Use of Antimicrobials’ to NI beef and sheep farmers, requiring the delivery of at least 300 workshops to farmers, farm family members and farm employees in Northern Ireland. The training will focus on an awareness of antimicrobial resistance, best practice when using antibiotics, steps to avoid antibiotic residues and practical steps to reduce antimicrobial use on-farm. The Red Meat AMR training will commence in February 2020, and the contract will be awarded for a period of 3 years. To maximise the benefits for industry it is envisaged the programme will run to 31.3.2023. The programme must be delivered by 31.3.2023, with overall completion including programme evaluation by 30.5.2023.
