Supply, Install & Maintenance of Traffic Signals, Enforcement, Information and Access Control Equipment

Tender description

A contract for the provision of traffic signal supply, installation and maintenance was awarded in 2016 to Motus Traffic Ltd following a full open competitive procurement process. This contract is on behalf of Rotherham MBC and Doncaster MBC and was due to expire at the end of July 2020. A replacement tender is due for publication shortly by Doncaster as the lead authority on behalf of Doncaster and Rotherham. Early warning was received that Motus Traffic were in financial difficulty and in talks with several companies regarding a takeover or the potential of entering into administration. Notice was received from Motus notifying that they ceased trading on Tuesday 18/02/2020. Due to Motus ceasing trading and the delays to the tender exercise, which will be caused whilst the Council responds to Covid-19, a waiver is now sought to award a contract for a period of 12 months to Dynniq UK Ltd until the new tender process can be completed.
