Why the Work is Being Done We are looking for a strategic partner to work alongside our internal development team enabling us to deliver the digital donor journey of the future. The two teams will operate as separate squads under a single NHSBT leader and work hand-in-hand with the Donor Experience Directorate and Product Owner to ensure the highest impacting work is prioritised. Problem to Be Solved The supplier is required to provide a multidisciplinary team that will initially define a roadmap for Donor Portal and the Blood Donor App and to start to deliver a backlog of improvements. The team will be required to support the transformation of the digital journey, and deliver new capabilities. The supplier will need to: •Work with SMEs to identify quick win improvements to digital donor journeys though user research. •Work with SMEs and donors to identify longer term strategic improvements to the digital donor journey through user research. •Identify and design new digital services, and build a backlog of supporting features, user stories and NFRs. •Build and test improvements to the Donor Portal, App and websites. •Build and test new digital services and capabilities, based on Azure technology. Other technologies will be considered if there is a strong value proposition. •Work with suppliers of other systems and services (i.e. Savant) to build and test reusable API’s, based on NHS or industry standards and patterns.•Work with the NHSBT architecture team to agree any high level designs,products, pattern or change to the existing architecture. •Build products that are exemplars in the NHS and government. •Assist NHSBT in the selection of new platforms Who Are the Users Users will be defined in the individual Statements of Work but may include NHSBT employees, donors, donor families, patients etc. Early Market Engagement Work Already Done Existing Team The supplier will be working with NHSBT's internal development team, project and programme teams and other relevant stakeholders. Current Phase Not applicable Work Location Including but not limited to: Filton Blood Centre, 500, North Bristol Park, Filton, Bristol BS34 7QH NHSBT, Fox Den Road, Stoke Gifford, Avon, Bristol BS34 8RR Birmingham Donor Centre, 65 New St, Birmingham B2 4DU West End Donor Centre, 26 Margaret St, Marylebone, London W1W 8NB Working Arrangments Individuals must be available to travel to NHSBT Centres in (but not limited to) Birmingham, Bristol and London. Work will be conducted both face to face and remotely via Skype etc. Individuals must comply with the NHSBT Expenses Policy. Subject to any changes in policy, the resources will provide their own laptops and mobile phones for use on NHSBT premises. NHSBT provides secure access to its network as required. Security Clearance Additional T&Cs Suppliers will provide a minimum of two relevant candidates for each role requested by NHSBT within 10 working days. Skills & Experience Have demonstrable experience of successfully delivering digital solutions for public sector within the last 4 years that collect,manage personal and/or sensitive information with appropriate controls and protection. (max 500 words) Have demonstrable experience of delivering digital services within the last 4 years that dynamically scale to meet high and fluctuating demands. Have demonstrable experience of delivering solutions on native iOS and Android Applications. Have demonstrable experience of delivery digital services using Microsoft Azure, .Net, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Umbraco. Have demonstrable experience of working on public sector digital transformation programmes with complex dependencies and integrations with backend / legacy applications,and with other Government depts.Provide details (max 250 words) Have demonstrable experience of delivering digital services in compliance with GDS Service Standard through all phases of delivery, Alpha to Live.Please provide details (max.250 words) Have demonstrable experience of effective service design to inform/drive business change of service transformation for high volume/high available digital services for public sector.Please provide details (max 250 words) Evidence ability to provide all team roles and expertise as detailed in the Government Digital Service Standard.(max 250 words) Have demonstrable experience of enabling in-house teams to build in-house capability and enable in-house teams to take-on support and continuous improvement of digital services.(max 250 words) Have demonstrable experience of working collaboratively in blended team environments whereby client team members are embedded as an integral part of the delivery team.(max 250 words) Have demonstrable experience of successfully delivering high profile / critical public sector digital services at pace and in compliance with the GDS Service Standard. Have demonstrable experience of implementing an efficient and effective dev ops model in delivering digital services for public sector. Nice to Haves Have demonstrable experience of successfully integrating digital services with Government platforms, for example GOV.UK NHS Login and GOV.UK Notify.
