Longford County Council Regional and Local Road Bridge Rehabilitations 2020 - Contract 4 consists of the repair and upgrade works to 3 the following Masonry Arch bridges; Foygh Bridge, Ballinamuck Bridge and Killinastra Bridge. The proposed work at each bridge is as follows; Foygh Bridge; - Replacement of existing masonry arch culvert with a pre-cast concrete box culvert. Temporary and permanent diversion of existing water mains. Re-alignment of existing stream upstream and downstream of culvert. New parapet walls, pavement works, accommodation works. Ballinamuck Bridge; - Single span masonry bridge over the Black River. Existing parapet walls have collapsed into the stream. Recover existing collapsed masonry, devegetate bridge, excavate existing fill behind collapsed parapets, reconstruct spandrel and parapet walls, pavement works, rubbing strips. Killinlastra Bridge; - Single Span masonry bridge over local stream. Existing Parapet Wall has collapsed. Recover existing collapsed masonry, devegetate bridge, repairs to masonry arch barrel, reconstruct parapet walls, pavement works, rubbing strips. Traffic management will be required at each bridge location as described in the contract documents. Liaison and obtaining approvals from statutory bodies, including IFI. Liaison with Landowners.
