Tender description

The Basingstoke Canal Authority (BCA) (a local Council partnership hosted by Hampshire County Council) (HCC) manages the Basingstoke Canal for HCC and Surrey County Council (SCC) — the owners of the waterway since 1976. BCA wish to determine if there are suitable suppliers who would be able to manufacture timber lock gates against the specification detailed in this PIN. BCA would like all suitable suppliers who would be interested in tendering for the proposed contract with BCA to manufacture timber lock gates to email procurement.support@hants.gov.uk and express an interest. Please note, due to heritage reasons, the lock gates can only be manufactured using timber. Please may we request that you email the above email address expressing your interest in providing manufactured timber lock gates. Please email your interest by 9 April 2020. All lock gates are bespoke, each lock chamber is unique and can vary considerably and is not necessarily symmetrical, or uniform in width, height or batter. It is proposed the procurement of two-four sets of gates will occur annually.
