Tender description
NYnet is procuring a multi-core fibre network that provides gigabit capable fibre capacity to public sector sites distributed in conurbations and market towns throughout North Yorkshire. The contract is for an initial 15 100 000 GBP with the potential to rise to 50 000 000 GBP for further expansion in North Yorkshire and potentially the surrounding environs. NYnet is procuring a multi-core fibre network that provides gigabit capable fibre capacity to public sector sites distributed in conurbations and market towns throughout North Yorkshire. The requirement is to build and maintain the network therefore the contract has an element of works and services. The contract is for an initial 15 100 000 GBP with the potential to rise to 50 000 000 GBP for further expansion in North Yorkshire and potentially the surrounding environs. The procurement process will seek to evaluate the relative merits of 2 potential delivery models. All providers are required to submit a compliant bid based on design and build. Design and build (compliant): — the supplier will design and build the fibre network according to requirements set out in an ITT. NYnet will own the infrastructure and provide services to the public-sector. Providers will also have the option to submit a variant bid based on design, build and operate, — the supplier will design, build and operate the fibre network according to requirements set out in an ITT. NYNet will have an indefeasible right of use for a defined period (c20 years) on the capacity of the network for the provision of services to the public sector. Suppliers must meet the minimum criteria detailed within the procurement documentation (see ITT Volume 3 Contract Main Body and ITT Volume 3a Contract Schedules).
