HS2 Lot C2/C3 Green Tunnels Precast Structural Steelwork (WP301)

Tender description

ABMMat jv is working in partnership with Eiffage Kier jv who have been awarded HS2 main works civils contracts, Lots C2 and C3 under an Early Contractor Involvement contract (ECI). As part of ABMMat jv's involvement it is proposed to establish a facility in Scunthorpe to manufacture precast concrete components for three 'Green Tunnels'. We require a specialist Structural Steelwork Contractor to detail, fabricate and erect the structural steelwork component of a hybrid Precast Concrete/Steel structural frame for a new Precast Concrete manufacturing facility. For a building of 9,500m² footprint this amounts to approx. 475 Tonnes including crane rails and roof structure. Contractor will be selected by the client and appointed by the Main Contractor under an NEC3 subcontract. Full details and specifications will be provided to the successfully shortlisted suppliers. Respondents to this opportunity should be advised that shortlisted applicants will be invited to tender. The exact scoring criteria is currently being developed by ABMMat jv, and shortlisted respondents will be invited to formally tender in due course. Tenders will be scored competitively across a range of criteria, such as, but not limited to: Commercial, Programme, Methodology, HSEQ, Capability and Capacity.
