Tender description

The completed project will provide a fully grade-separated interchange to replace the existing signalised gyratory junction. Interchange links between Westlink, M2 and M3 will be provided in underpasses aligned beneath new bridge structures at York Street and under the existing Dargan and Lagan bridges. The existing North Queen Street and Dock Street over-bridges and Whitla Street subway structure will be widened as necessary to accommodate the new road layout, with a new over-bridge structure proposed at Dock Street. Retaining walls and piled embankments will be provided as required to support the new road alignments. The contract will be based on the NEC3 PSC, supplemented by the NEC3 ECC Option B: priced contract element with bill of quantities and NEC3 ECC Option C: Target contract element with activity schedule and will involve open-book accounting procedures.
