Tender description

Manchester City Council is looking to establish a contract with 1 service provider for the provision of highway maintenance works. The contract period will be for 24 months, with provision to be potentially extended for up to 2 further years. The works will be predominately small patching permanent highway repairs, however the Employer will also consider ordering other/similar types of highway maintenance works that are included within the tender. The works comprise of small patching to permanently repair Carriageways and Footways, it is envisaged that the majority of the works will be Bituminous/coated types of surfacing materials, in addition to this there may be modular types of paving patching repairs. Minor lining reinstatement works will also be required if patching works have disturbed existing road-markings, also localised minor adjustment of associated ironwork where patching works have occurred may necessitate the existing frame and covers to be re set.
