Tender description

Establishment of a multi-lot framework agreement for the provision of construction and trades-related disciplines. Road resurfacing and re-construction including: Carriageway and footway construction and re-construction Carriageway and footway resurfacing (bituminous and concrete) Carriageway and footway patching (bituminous and concrete) Construction, Repair and Maintenance of Road and Footway Assets and associated infrastructure including; Street Lighting Kerbing / Slabbing / Block Paving Drainage (pipes and fittings, ironwork, proprietary ironwork repair systems, catchpits, inspection chamber, culverts, drain cleaning, sump emptying and CCTV surveys. Bus infrastructure improvements Earthworks / Remediation Site Clearance Signing / Lining Traffic Management Construction, Repair and Maintenance of Road and Footway Assets and associated infrastructure including; Street Lighting Kerbing / Slabbing / Block Paving Drainage (pipes and fittings, ironwork, proprietary ironwork repair systems, catchpits, inspection chamber, culverts, drain cleaning, sump emptying and CCTV surveys. Bus infrastructure improvements Earthworks / Remediation Site Clearance Signing / Lining Traffic Management Design and application of Proprietary surface treatments to carriageways and footways Including; Thin Overlays Microasphalts Surface Dressing Slurry Sealing Insitu-Recycling. Construction, Repair and Maintenance of natural stone high quality surfaces, street furniture and decorative items including:- Granite kerbs, granite setts, caithness slabs Stainless steel bollards, signage, seating, cycle racks, etc Water Sensitive Urban Design including Rain Gardens; installation of planting beds as part of the surface water drainage scheme Planting Areas; installation of other planting beds as part of public realm works Street Trees; to include all underground infrastructure to support tree to maturity Works may also include elements of the following:- Carriageway and Footway Construction and Re-Construction (Bituminous and Concrete) Carriageway and Footway Resurfacing (Bituminous and Concrete) Carriageway and Footway Patching (Bituminous and Concrete) Insitu Recycling Street Lighting Drainage (pipes and fittings, ironwork, proprietary ironwork repair systems, catchpits, inspection chamber, culverts, drain cleaning, sump emptying and CCTV surveys) Earthworks / Remediation Site Clearance Signing / Lining Traffic Management Cold milling of road surfaces including if required:- Signing of Work Area, Traffic Management Recycling of Planed materials Delivery of planed materials to nominated location Supply and lay thermoplastic road markings, road studs and associated markings including:- Lining of roads and carriageways Marking of other surfaces including car parks, playgrounds, sports courts and other external locations Removal of road and surface markings Supply and apply anti skid / high friction surfacing systems to various road and footway surfaces. Systems to be in accordance with the Specification of Highway Works Clause 924. Supply, maintain and remove temporary traffic management layouts including:- Road closures Road diversions Contraflows Temporary traffic lights Event Management Construction, Refurbishment, Repairs and Maintenance of all types of structures including but not limited to bridges, footbridges, quay walls, retaining walls, structural earthworks, underpasses, tunnels, culverts. Works can include: Structural repair work – concrete, masonry, steelwork, scour Bridge propping Construction of proprietary footbridges Cleaning out expansion joints Greasing of metal bearings Removal of blockages in watercourses Works on substandard structures including installation and maintenance of vehicle barriers Re-pointing Re-painting Defect repairs Silane impregnation Cathodic protection and re-waterproofing Bearings and expansion joints renewal Strengthening Parapet replacement and waterproofing Increasing the width or headroom of a structure Infilling of structures e.g. underpasses Upgrade or replacement of traverse beams Works may be required to be carried out in a marine environment on the River Clyde Construction, Refurbishment, Repairs and Maintenance of all types of structures including but not limited to bridges, footbridges, quay walls, retaining walls, structural earthworks, underpasses, tunnels, culverts. Electrical testing of external lighting installations Replace/remove electrical components from external lighting installations Works will require setting and removal of temporary traffic management. All items within electrical only category Install/remove cabling into carriageways, footways, footpaths, grassed areas including excavation and reinstatement of various surface types. Install/remove lighting columns and support structures for external lighting within carriageways, footways, footpaths, grassed areas Works will require setting and removal of temporary traffic management. Prepare and paint lighting columns, wall brackets and name plates. All units mounted on or around roads. Works will require setting and removal of temporary traffic management. Install/remove lighting and electrical components not intended to provide any task based lighting function. Install/remove lighting and electrical components associated with external lighting utilised for Seasonal and Event requirements Works will require setting and removal of temporary traffic management All construction processes to include bulk earthworks, ground formation, drainage works, erosion control, geotextiles, environmental works, remediation and ground stabilisation. Landscape construction projects including hard and soft landscaping and broad spectrum grounds maintenance activities; lawn, meadow & verge creation, maintenance & repair, tree & shrub bed construction & maintenance to include weed control and the eradication of noxious perennials. Works may also include countryside access work (remote path construction and maintenance, drainage works and construction and maintenance of path furniture & directional/advisory signage), pond repairs, naturalisation and maintenance. Arboricultural & Woodland works covering the full range of establishment, maintenance, protection and management operations including specialist surveys, remedial surgery works, fellings, thinnings, vegetation control and stump removal (with reinstatement of bound surfaces). The supply and planting of trees of varying sizes (whips to semi-matures) including ground preparation and drainage, herbicide control and fertilising. Also included is a Schedule Of Rates element for tree emergency call out cover for unplanned events All construction processes for the supply, installation and repair of metal and timber perimeter fencing, security fencing, barriers, pedestrian and vehicle gates. All construction processes for the supply, installation, maintenance and repair of playground equipment to include safer surfacing and all associated accommodation works. All processes to deliver brick and stone construction and maintenance in non-heritage locations to include foundations, underbuilding, retaining and free-standing features. All construction and maintenance processes, including the preparation of conservation surveys and reports, sufficient to deliver the conservation and restoration of heritage assets. Works may include natural stone structures, headstones, fountains and water features, and other monuments all of which may be listed.
