Painting and protective-coating work of structures

Tender description

North Yorkshire County Council wishes to award a framework contract for the provision of painting works, to be carried out on behalf of NYCC and others. The geographical scope of this framework contract covers locations associated with the Yorkshire Highways Alliance (YHA). Other contracting authorities may also wish to access the services of the suppliers on the framework. Works including but not limited to: Painting based schemes consisting of maintenance of predominantly steel bridges, structures and buildings including work in or around water courses, highways and the rail network, including Highways Act Section 38 and Section 278 works, typical activities are likely to involve: — traffic management including road closures, — access (via scaffolding, MEWP’s, podiums, pontoons), — tenting as required, — environmental management, — paint testing, — lighting of the site, — surface preparation to various specifications (ISO 8501), — painting to required specification, generally MCHW and relevant appendices. This lot covers works valued between 0 GBP-250 000 GBP in North Yorkshire and York. Up to 6 suppliers can be awarded to this lot. This lot covers works valued between 0 GBP-250 000 GBP in Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield. Up to 6 suppliers can be awarded to this lot. This lot covers works valued between 250 000 GBP-1 500 000 GBP in North Yorkshire, York, Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield. Up to 6 suppliers can be awarded to this lot.
