Tender description

This project covers the construction of approximately 4.5km of new single carriageway with climbing lanes in an environmentally sensitive area between Blubberhouses and Kex Gill Farm (A59). The new carriageway section will take an alternative route to the existing section of the A59 between these locations due to ongoing ground instability issues. The works shall briefly comprise of earthworks, structures (underpasses, culverts and retaining walls), drainage, pavement, kerbing, road restraint systems, line markings, signs, statutory undertakings, ducting, landscaping, fencing, carriageway abandonment, carriageway tie-in, bridleways, footways etc. Keywords: Kex, Gill
